New Directions Housing Corporation

In 2009, the New Albany UEA and New Directions Housing Corporation (NDHC) began a partnership designed to preserve home ownership and neighborhood investment within the Zone by mobilizing community-wide resources and volunteers to support the housing repair needs of the elderly, disabled, and low income homeowners located in the New Albany Urban Enterprise Zone.

Volunteer teams from local corporations, service and social organizations, congregations, individuals, and approved contractors work to complete exterior repairs. Eligible projects include exterior paint or cleaning, historic restoration, awnings, roofs, wheelchair ramps, gutter repair, and window replacement.
